Anybody planning to pick this up on or around release? 8th Aug in North America and 10th Aug in Europe.
I probably will, but having just started Fallout 4 AND teaming up with some RL friends in The Division...damn, not sure when I'll have time. I still have a full time job and am studying for some networking certs.Anybody planning to pick this up on or around release? 8th Aug in North America and 10th Aug in Europe.
I played for about 20 hours, but once I realized I was just grinding to purchase more inventory slots, so I could grind more minerals to sell...so I could have more inventory slots...Those who are.playing. besides the promises, is it interesting?
i got it as well, it is a good concept and was cool in the very beginning...till you got to the point where every building is the same no matter what planet you went to, you kept doing the same things over and over and over and over. mining resources, recharging your ship, space suit, mining gun. wash, rinse, repeat. i can see why 90% of the player base stopped playing it after a week.I bought it, they lied about a bunch of features. The game is definitely not a AAA $60 game. Maybe $30 or so. Got bored and annoyed with it after 2 or so hours.
Exactly, wash, rinse, repeat. That's a little misleading and only in reference to PC players, I haven't been able to find data on PS4. I dug a little on the Steam numbers and it sounds like players drop off around 70-90% depending on the game a couple weeks after launch.i can see why 90% of the player base stopped playing it after a week.
i was off by a week...usually it takes a couple of months for the player base to drop off by that much..not 2 weeks. especially games where one can sink a ton of hours on. like this game. That's a little misleading and only in reference to PC players, I haven't been able to find data on PS4. The other games in the article don't have as steep of a drop, but they show similar trends with other popular games.
i think one of the main reasons is that other games offer far more for far less. Take Subnautica for example...although single player its pretty much a better exploration/crafting game PLUS has background story AND native fauna that's a genuine threat.i was off by a week...usually it takes a couple of months for the player base to drop off by that much..not 2 weeks. especially games where one can sink a ton of hours on. like this game.
