INTRODUCTION
 
Are you interested in socializing with The Division players your age but haven't been able to "weed out" all the adolescent gamers? Have you been unable to join traditional, time-consuming clans because, being responsible adult, you have had to juggle your free time with going to college, taking care of children, or being employed in a full time job? In short, are you interested in an online experience akin to "shooting the bull" with a group of drinking buddies? If so, then The Division Gunslingers is the right place for you!
 

 
MEMBERSHIP
 
We are fortunate to have thousands of older gamers registered on our homepage, and weare eager to play The Division.
We have a large collection of parents. And we have the large collection of the working men and women members.
 
If you would like to join the club, you need only to fulfill two things:

1. Be at least 18 years of age or older.
   
2. Register your membership at our forum: Index page
   

 
That's it! We don't ask for resumes, character stats, probation periods, or any other sort of silliness. You just want to have fun, right? So do we! If you would like to learn more about membership with the Gunslingers, feel free to visit our "How To Join" page of at our website.
 

 
GUIDELINES
 
We like to ascribe the Gunslinger experience akin to having drinks with some buds after work or partying with them on the weekends. Nothing stops the music faster than a few knuckleheads, so we do have a few guidelines we expect people to follow during their stay:
 

• Obscene/Offensive material is prohibited.
  
• Self promotion by new members will likely be treated as spam. This includes promotion of own non-commercial websites.
  
• No personal attacks on other members or various sorts of offensive behavior is allowed.
  
• No glitching/hacking/cheating. We define such as purposefully accessing the game's programming or abusing a flaw in the programming to achieve an act or status that is not intended or possible otherwise.

It's finally here! The Division has been officially released, and we at GS can't be more excited for it. If you're heading into New York and would like some folks to game with, come check us out today at www.gunslingergaming.com With over 12,000 members, you're sure to find a great group to team up with.

The game is finally out, and the Gunslingers clan is already booming with activity! In fact, our Master Lists (think clan roster) have been unlocked for only 24 hours and we already have had over 90 folks join our Division Gunslingers front! Amazing! If you are a fellow older gamer who doesn't want to be hog-tied into silly probation periods, demeaning try-outs, or being forced to fill out an application (because our lives need MORE paperwork, right?), come join the Gunslingers. It is where the mature, casual gamers meet!

Here are a few updates within our group that may help you get a fuller idea of the GS* experience:

We use 100 groups! In addition to providing text chats, voice chats, and a robust forum experience, we also utilize the 100group site to streamline matching making. Since our 100 groups are exclusively for our clan members, you can rest assured that you will get all the benefits of a match making tool while keeping your gaming experience with folks your own age.

Our 2015 Gunslinger Games Awards Results! Back in January, we carried on our tradition of hosting our own game awards in which our members control from the nominations to the final votes. We voted The Division as Most Anticipated Game two years in a row! If that doesn't convince you of how excited we are for the game, nothing will.

How are you all enjoying The Division thus far?

Have you been searching through all the clan fronts here on the recruiting boards for a group of mature, casual adult gamers who treat gaming as it should be: a past-time rather than a second job? Let me guess, you have read through plenty of "Hey! We are laidback! Join us!" messages only to be later confronted with a whole list of steps in the membership process. Try-outs (I thought they were casual), probation periods (I wasn't aware you were already in the doghouse), questionnaires (aren't those personality tests annoying enough in the job interview process?), and even a sponsoring system (did you just join a recovery program?). Beware! Those are not characteristics of a casual clan, and if that is how they are structured during the joining process, you can rest assured your gaming experience with those groups won't be casual, either.

The Gunslingers clan is truly a causal, mature clan. We know, as fellow parents and full time workers, that your time is finite, and you don't wish to have it wasted. Neither do we! Register a membership in our clan's forum to become a full fledged Gunslingers. Boom! That is it! A casual clan attracts casual gamers. It is as simple as that. We have approached gaming in this manner since 2007, and the formula still works 12,000 members later.

An extended holiday weekend, means more time with the family, friends, and, yes, your gaming buddies. The members of the Gunslingers are no exception! As we meet up in game and have some drinks, we are keeping the GS* experience for our members even more robust and complimentary to their in-game experiences. Here are a few examples from just this week alone:
 
All members share their game libraries! In effort to make it easier for the Gunslingers to see who is the most like themselves in their gaming habits, the Gunslingers homebase now features the ability for them to create an image-based virtual library of games they own. More importantly, you can, by a simple press of a button, signify that this game is the title you are currently playing! This fact will shared on your profile, on our Games page, and on every single post you make in our clan forum.
 
Our Notification System. Did you wish that you could know when a friend was getting in game even before you boot up your platform? You can with our clan's new notification system. We have a special section where, when a person posts that they are about to go online, everyone (who have opted into the feature) will be notified. Game on!
 
Retro Sweet Tooth. As a group exclusively for us gamers long in the tooth, we all also have a sweet tooth for retro games. That is why, in addition to making it easier to see who is playing similar to ourselves, we are also building a retro library of our yesteryear purchases. While not even 24 hours into the project, we have all NES titles # - C added. It is great fodder for chat about the games we played while growing up...as we play today's popular game.

Happy Halloween Weekend, everyone!


Whether you are starting the work week taking the kids out trick-or-treating or handing out the candy from home, let's hope some gaming can be squeezed in between doorbell rings. The holiday is another example of how us parents have tweak our gaming time, which is why it is important we surround ourselves with gamers our own age and time management needs. We, the Gunslingers, completely understand and are overtly dedicated providing a home for older gamers!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, GUNSLINGERS!!!

June 2018 marks the 11th year we have gamed as a group. While the specifics of our gaming group have evolved throughout the decade plus run, our bedrock of placing the social aspect of gaming over the competitive arena has remained steadfast in our ambitions. And that deserves some celebration.

Thank you to all of you who continue to welcome new & returning members, whether its done via a friend add, kind words in the Introduction section, or simply getting to know folks better in our Discord chat. As I have always said, people can go anywhere and use any third party service to simply find other gamers to fill their roster, but the Gunslingers offers an unique haven for older gamers BECAUSE you are willing to believe in the merit of inclusion over rank exclusion. I would also like to give an extra special shout out for all of you who continue to take the extra step of participation by returning and adding content to our forums. While it may feel like the Gunslingers activity in-game may never dry up because so many fellow parents and gaming adults have already swapped contacts, it certainly will if we pretend a central hub doesn't matter. Thank you as well, particularly active members, for weathering through a year of a rather light-in-appearance by me. Sometimes life makes you pause and contend with family and health issues, so I appreciate your dedication, members and leaders alike.
