I completely disagree. The grind is what gets most people to keep coming back to play. I wouldn't have played nearly as much if there was no grind. That's kind of the whole point of looter shooter games. There's one thing I HATE the most is GRINDING for EXOTIC parts of Weapons & Gear. It's a pain in the butt looking for these parts. I wish UBISOFT never ever came up with this IDEA of looking for EXOTIC parts. It was a big WASTE of my time.IT took me months & not days or weeks to find all the parts to the Chatterbox Exotic SMG and I hated it. That's one of many reasons I left the game for a very long time. Plus it took all the enjoyment out of the game all together. I HATED it very much to GRIND for parts. Sorry people I'm just blowing off steam & do apologize in this forum. But If Ubisoft ever sees this make that change to never make us grind for Exotic parts again.....ever.Thank you.
Though, do you like how you grind for exotics in TD2 compared to how you grind for them in TD1?I completely disagree. The grind is what gets most people to keep coming back to play. I wouldn't have played nearly as much if there was no grind. That's kind of the whole point of looter shooter games.
You will love the new expansion. All your exotics will not be below the level cap and you have to reacquire them once you reach level 40.
I'm guessing you mean the ones where you had to farm individual parts.Though, do you like how you grind for exotics in TD2 compared to how you grind for them in TD1?
You may like it ........but I don't & it doesn't make me to want to come back to the game at all !!! It make want to leave and not want to come back. The game is not all looter shooter type game. It's a looter shooter, buy, sell, trade,& protect type of game. I don't mind grinding for the whole exotic weapon & gear.......but I hate to grind for parts.Which is a lot harder to get, find,& locate which I hate the most. It's okay if you like it......but I HATE it !!!I completely disagree. The grind is what gets most people to keep coming back to play. I wouldn't have played nearly as much if there was no grind. That's kind of the whole point of looter shooter games.

I will just say it absolutely is 100% a looter shooter. Just like Destiny, Warframe, Borderlands, etc.You may like it ........but I don't & it doesn't make me to want to come back to the game at all !!! Okay Joker when you find loot do you keep it? Or do you sell it to The Division traders do also buy from the traders? If you do than it's not just a looter shooter type game in total 100% percent. There is a little bit of both in this game my best guess is this loot 33 % percent, selling 33% percent, buying 33% percent or less and 1% percent of something else. So it's not 100% percent looter shooter as you see it. I'm sorry I just don't see it that way. To me I don't see 100% percent of just looter shooter type game. Plus what about gathering stuff for the control points like water, food,& parts that you give to the control point officers & Base of Operation mission where you donate or trade stuff to get points. That's where the trade part comes in. Plus the protect part in the game with you protect the control points from in coming enemies. So I can't see a 100% percent just looter shooter type game at all. Sorry Joker I just disagree with 100% percent.I do agree with some of the things you say.....but not all. I just don't see it that way. Joker do you agree to disagree and leave it at that. Because I do not wish to discuss , argue, or talk any further & leave at that okay. You have your point of view & I have mine. Let's leave it at that if that's fine with you.Thank you.I will just say it absolutely is 100% a looter shooter. Just like Destiny, Warframe, Borderlands, etc.
I don't think anyone really sees it as a buy, sell, trade type of game. That would be more Warframe, where you can sell/trade just about any weapon, mod, or piece of gear you craft or loot in exchange for in game currency. In The Division, you are limited to sharing just with who you were playing with when you looted a piece of gear. It's not a significant part of the game. Path of Exile, although not a looter shooter, would be another example of a game with a real marketplace.
Without needing to grind for things, I think just playing activities and missions over and over would get a lot more repetitive and boring. The loot game gives you a goal to reach. It gives direction and purpose. You want that new exotic AR that just dropped yesterday? Well, you know what you have to do.
I'm excited for the new Gear 2.0 and gear score going up to 515 making all of our gear useless. It will be fun to have to grind for new gear and experiment with new builds.
All loot based games have some sort of merchant or merchants you can sell or buy gear from.Okay Joker when you find loot do you keep it? Okay Joker those games you mention like Warframe & Destiny I never played and I wouldn't know. But I mostly play survival ,survival sci-fi, military survival,or post-apocalyptic type role-playing video games. Like Fallout 1,Fallout 2,Fallout Tactics,Fallout 3,Fallout : New Vegas,Fallout 4,Fallout 76,Rage 1,Rage 2,Wolfenstein 1,Wolfenstein 2,Ghost Recon Future Soldier,Battlefield 4,Call of Duty Infinite Warfare,The Division 1, & ect. But I will admit in my opinion only I never really thought that The Division 1 & The Division 2 were thought as looter shooters to me. I played them like I was part of the games and never ever gave it a second thought that it was a looter shooter type game. Because I played them like they were a survival type game than a looter shooter like you mention before & I'll leave it at that. All loot based games have some sort of merchant or merchants you can sell or buy gear from.
When someone says a game has buying/selling/trading components to a game, they are usually referencing among players, which this game really doesn't have.
What you are saying about "protect" and other parts of the game is just part of the gameplay. Destiny has strikes and raids. Does that mean it is not a looter shooter? Nope. It's still a looter shooter. Warframe has survival missions and defense missions. Still a looter shooter.
That's the archetype of the game. Just like The Division.

Well I guess so. Here's what Future Game Releases had to say about that: The Division 2 cannot and shouldn’t be compared to other looter shooters at allI will make it simple. I am talking about the genre of the game. It doesn't matter how you choose to play it.
Games fit into genres. Diablo and Path of Exile are action RPG's. Bard's Tale is an RPG. Destiny is a looter shooter.
If someone asked what genre The Division fit into, it's classified as a looter shooter.
